Author Bio
My name is William Chaise Robertson and I currently reside in Clarksburg, W.V. with my wife and 10 cats. I am a North Carolina native who has been writing since I was sixteen. My writing career began with poetry and as I fell in love with the artform, I began to focus more on perfecting my craft. I have won a poetry slam in 2019 and published two poetry books since then. I've written a few novels but "The Passing Tales of Death" has been the only one that is published, however, more are soon to follow. My love for writing extends further than I could have ever imagined, but in that time, it has become something I have used to help people including myself. With that purpose in mind, writing has not only become a little bit easier but it has also become more enjoyable. With that being said, I have a writing motto that I live by: May My Words Live Forever. My main goal is for my words and my works to outlive me one day and help people in every timeline.
Book Synopsis
"The Passing Tales of Death" is a book about the entity Death and how he hates his job. He doesn't know how he came to be or why. He just knows he is Death and he is necessary. His curiosity soon grows as he studies humanity for purpose. With this newfound information, Death recalls some of the souls he has encountered as he shuttles them to The Door, a grand blue door that souls must walk through to continue their journey in the afterlife. These souls all teach Death something about forgiveness, self-worth, and purpose. He then uses these lessons to not only plan for his future but also to resolve some of his past mistakes in the process. In the end, Death learns that some answers are worth searching for.
