Makerspace Open Hours: 3D Printing (All Ages)

The Makerspace Open Hours are coming back with new hours and a new format. This week we are bringing out the 3D printers. The Library will print 1 project per patron in the week following.

The Makerspace Open Hours are coming back with new hours and a new format. Each week will bring out a different tool. Due to safety concerns, other tools will be unavailable.

This week we are bringing out the 3D printers.

• Patrons are allowed to choose 1 project to print at the Makerspace Open Hours. The project will be printed in the week following the Makerspace Open Hours. Patrons will be notified by phone or email when their project is available for pick-up at the help desk.
• The Library reserves the right to refuse any 3D print request. The Library will also resize requests that exceed 2 inches in any direction.
• The Library’s 3D printers may be used only for lawful purposes. The public will not be permitted to use the Library’s 3D printers to create material that is:
  
  • Prohibited by local, state, or federal law.
  • Unsafe, harmful, dangerous, or poses an immediate threat to the wellbeing of others. 
  • Obscene or otherwise inappropriate for the Library environment.
  • In violation of another’s intellectual property rights. For example, the printers will not be used to reproduce material that is subject to copyright, patent, or trademark protection.
• Registration is not required for the Makerspace Open Hours.
